THRiVE #WECAN

Over the past three years, key stakeholders have been working collaboratively to improve outcomes for children and young people in Rathcoole and Monkstown.

Now renamed THRiVE, the project is a collaboration of local people, schools, community organisations and statutory agencies, committed to improvements in aspiration, attainment, wellbeing and collaboration.

THRiVE has achieved so much already, including

  •  The BOOST programme has improved attainment in local schools
  • Collaboration between schools has improved attendance, transition and goal-setting
  •  Wellbeing of pupils has been addressed through a new school nursing approach
  • Collaboration between early years providers have improved transition processes
  • Staff from all six local schools have been brought together to celebrate achievements and develop THRiVE’s vision

In addition to continuing the above, THRiVE plans to

  •  Deliver common training for early years practitioners and volunteers in partnership with NHSCT
  • Launch an area-wide campaign in partnership with parents, children and young people to raise aspiration, supported by Smarts Communicate
  • Continue to improve aspiration, attainment and wellbeing through a collaborative approach with its partners.
