House Teams

Everyone who joins Rathcoole Primary School and Nursery Unit will join a house team. These house teams were established to.. 

• Recognise and reward
• Raise the self-awareness of our pupils
• Build a positive atmosphere for learning 
• Encourage teacher/pupil praise
• Build relationships across the school 
• Promote achievement 
• Encourage teamwork 
• Give responsibility and leadership to pupils. 

Our house teams are called Valley, Hazelbank, Diamond and Glen. These names were chosen by the pupils, staff and parents. Each house team name represents an area within our local community. 

Below is a list of ways in which pupils can earn points for their house team. These points are added via ClassDojo, where the children are grouped into teams. At the end of each term, the team with the most points will receive a surprise from Mrs Quinn!
