TIME

This week our focus is on time.

We use time and the language of time to tell us the year, the months within the year, the days within the months, the hours, minutes and seconds within the day.

We use the language of time everyday, for example, morning, afternoon, evening, o'clock, half past, the days of the week, the months of the year as well as the seasons.  Can you tell your adult the names of the week, months of the year and the seasons?

Remember when telling the time, there are 24 hours in the day, 12 hours cover the morning from 12 a.m to 12 noon and then 12 hours cover the evening from 12 noon to Midnight.  Each hour is made up of 60 minutes and the minute hand will move 60 times to make a full circle before the hour changes. There are 5 minutes between each number on the clock and a quick way to count the minutes is to do so in increments of 5.

Please watch the attached videos and read the attached powerpoints and talk with your adult before starting your work for today.
